• Change Leadership Seminars/Workshops/Speaking

These take a variety of forms, from after-dinner speaking, to half-day workshops, to 2-day retreats.

They can also vary in style – from the provocative and catalytic ‘Tall, Dark, Handsome and No.1’, to the formal (e.g. based on my writing), to the gently developmental (e.g. based on my ‘Five Energies of Change Leadership’ framework).

Workshops will occasionally be developed and run jointly with colleagues in my network, such as Chris Robertson, the founder of psychosynthesis training centre Re.Vision, and Judith Hemming, the leading constellator within the Nowhere Foundation.

• Bespoke 1:1 sessions

These range from in situ coaching, to 24-hour ‘extensives’ in the Wiltshire countryside - enabling otherwise pressured leaders to take quality time to consider radical approaches to personal and organisational transformation. The ‘extensives’ involve exclusive Bed & Breakfast in tranquil Winsley, a 10-mile walk - with conversation - through beautiful, diverse countryside, excellent pub food, and two formal coaching sessions.

• Organisational Change Consulting

Once leaders have made the commitment to initiate some form of radical change in their organisations – in service of a sustainable future – they are often unsure where to turn for suitably high-level change expertise, capable of both honouring the values/vision at the root of the initiative, and working in sufficiently sophisticated ways with the organisational change process. Oikos can deliver both. Go to my allied site www.nickmayhew.net for a greater sense of my consultancy experience and approach.

• Sustainability ‘one-stop shop’

This service provides high-level advice to leaders on their sustainability / transformation / corporate responsibility initiatives, leveraging knowledge and insights gained over 18 years in the field, as well as a network of assorted experts working across a vast range of fields - including private equity, social entrepreneurialism, psychotherapy, environmental technology and leadership development.

“I was about to start a process with the Group Executive on ‘sustainability’ having worked with them a lot in a different context – formal presentations, rational stuff – all within their comfort zone... Then along came ‘Tall, Dark etc.’ to challenge me... showing me a different ways of doing things... The result was different enough to make a difference, but not so different that I couldn’t do it...”

“Of course it's scary to give up what we know, but the abyss is where newness lives.  Great ideas and inventions miraculously appear in the space of not-knowing.  If we can move through the fear and enter the abyss, we are rewarded greatly.”
